Our first Open Morning for Parents and children due to start school in September 2018 is to be held on Wednesday 11th October at 9.30am. Please come along and have a look around, ask any questions you may have and see what a fantastic school Briar Hill is.
If you cannot make this one there will be another Open Morning on Monday 20th November at 9.30am.
Year 1 children used their senses today to smell and taste various items. They ranged from vinegar to perfume. The children had to then predict what they thought it was! Did you know that water smells like water?
Can you guess what they were smelling by their faces?
Year 1 children went on a walk around Whitnash this week.
They focussed on the different types of houses they could see, old and new buildings and thinking about The Jolly Postman, what would he see and use?
Today Leanne from the Helping Hands charity talked to the children about what they do and who they help in our Harvest Assembly. She was amazed at the amount of food you have very kindly donated, she explained to the children where all of the food would go to.
Our Full Governing Body met last night and one of their duties was to elect a Chair and Vice-Chair for this academic year. Congratulations to Richard Hawke for being voted in as Chair and Manjit Gill as the Vice-Chair.
We would like to thank Kevin Williams for all of his support in his role as the previous Chair.
We have had a few issues with the School Money Payment system. Thank you for being patient with us. It appears now to be sorted and we will resend the payment request and passwords. Families with more than one child will receive one request per child as there is no way currently of filtering this, therefore please ignore the extra one.
The children from Year 2 last year have been removed and so will not receive a payment request.
Issues with not being able to log in to your child account need to be looked at individually as they are usually linked to spelling of names, email addresses and how the childs details are held on the system. Please come to the office and we will look at your device with you in the hope that we can sort it.
Thank you for your patience and apologies for any inconvenience caused.
