Friday 10th February was Curriculum Freeze Day. All children took part in various science and art activities.
Here is just a selection of images for you to see how much they enjoyed the day.
Our online booking system went live on Friday 27th January.
if you had any problems accessing the system or booking your appointments please call into the office this morning anytime after 8am, where Mrs Toth will try to help you.
Recently we have several bouts of icy conditions which have meant that the playground is unsafe to walk on so we have made alternative arrangements for children to come into school. Unfortunately these decisions cannot be made until that morning when Mr Garnett and Mrs Byrne see how bad it is and have to decide whether it is safe for both children and parents to walk across.
We then send out a text message to alert you to the change. Several parents have said they did not receive a text message. Can we ask you please to make sure that the office has an up to date mobile number for yourselves and any other adult who brings your child to school or collects them from school. We can then add their details to the text service. Thank you.
Briar Hill PTA (parent teacher association) help the school in many ways, from financial to practical.
They work tirelessly to raise funds for the school for both large projects such as the ICT suite, playground equipment and smaller projects like new tennis balls ( we lost several over the fences!).
They cannot do this without volunteers, many of whom don't attend meetings but contact them at the time of events to offer their support.
We need more more of you! Large events like the fair take a lot of people to organise and run, the more there are the less everybody has to do, smaller events still need volunteers just less of them.
Often there is backstage help needed, before events if you are unable to help at the event.
Can you offer your help? Could you volunteer?
If you think maybe or yes I can do that please contact them to offer your email so they can let you know of what is happening and how you can help, no matter how short a time. In many cases your child can be with you helping.
